In cooperation with Kalmar County Museum, the museum offers time travels of various types that allow children and young people to get a feel for how it was to live during different periods at Boda Glassworks.
For example in 1864, when the glassworks was founded and child labour was commonplace, or 100 years later, when the works and the community flourished and the first artists came to the glassworks. Students get to know the cultural heritage of the glassworks community by travelling back in time to experience its history with all their senses. They can try handicrafts, food preparation, clothing and tools from the time featured by the instructors. Ways of working and practical activities are adapted to the students’ ages. Experience days are an exciting and unusual way to experience history.
